Eppy’ tells the story of Brian Epstein, the man who created The Beatles. It
is a musical journey through the period from 1961 to 1967 in which a
small record store owner, discovered and then introduced to the world,
what would become the greatest pop group of all time. For many years
Brian Epstein has been a man forgotten, a Nowhere Man’. He was a classic
gentleman, refined and elegant, however the musical show how, as a
homosexual he suffered greatly in a time when it was impossible to be
openly gay. Paranoia,
depression and self doubt led to his untimely death in 1967 and we
witness the incredible highs of success and fame to the tragic demise of
the man Paul McCartney referred to as ‘the fifth Beatle’.
